Top 5 destinations for 2013

With 2013 knocking at the door, automatically thoughts turn up to summer tourist season because the highly popular British Airways issued its top 13 destinations for 2013.

With Croatia's EU entry ready for coming July, the popular and well known tourism industry was given over an additional boost on December, 2012, with British Airways named and selected Croatia the number four destination spot in the destination list prepared for 2013.

One of the famous and most reputed airlines, that have controlled flights to the well known city of Dubrovnik for many years, brought in a service to Zagreb at the beginning of this month from London, and is also named among many airlines that have increased their proper services to the Dalmatian coast for 2013 season, as earlier reported by Digital Journal.

Though Dubrovnik remains the precious stone of Croatian tourism, there are some significant events up the Adriatic coast, as several airports serving the popular Dalmatian islands such as Brac Hvar and Korcula, increases their interests in the Croatian coast.
The latest major boost was the announcement of Ryanir’s that it was aperture its 54th base, the first one in Croatia and then at Zadar which is at the north of Split and simultaneously it announced seven new routes.

Needless to say that tourism dominates Croatia and it accounts for about 20 percent of Crotian GDP. In 2011, the total tourist industry income was estimated some €6.61 billion. Its positive effect was felt through the economic condition of Croatia’s increase business volume. Most of the tourists are from Germany, Austrian, Czech Republic as well as Croatia itself.
